Hello dear travellers !
My name is Renaud and i write to you from Belgium, in Europe.
I apologize for my poor english...a real disaster i know :-) I don't speak english fluently (i speak french), and i hope you will understand everything in my blog.... I am 30 years old and i work for my municipal authorities (in social assistance).
I have a big passion in my life : to travel ! To travel around the world !
And especially in countries where kindness is a culture and where people are very welcoming with travellers like you and me !
It's why i have imagined this new world travel guide : a guide of Hospitality ! The new Welcomeguide.
Who are the most welcoming, smiling, courteous, funniest people in the world ?
Give us your opinion about your different travel experiences : your good ones, but also your bad ones...what kind of people did you meet during your trip ? Huge cultural differences ? Cultural rules you must respect if you don't want to shock people living in the country you are visiting ? Your comments will be very interesting and valuable for those who plan to visit these countries. All your anecdotes about "local mentalities" are welcome !
So, it's time to share your experiences (and your advices) with all the Welcomeguide's community !
==> I post a new message to clarify some important rules in Welcomeguide :
If you have bad experiences to share with us, please, try to moderate your comments (insults won't be tolerated for example).
This blog is not a FORUM. So please, do not respond to previous readers comments. Post only your personnal experiences. The goal is to collect a maximum of different travel experiences (how have you been received by local people during your journey ?), everywhere in the world.
At the end of your post, give a note from 0 to 5 (to resume your opinion about local people you met during your trip).I will add 3 to 4 new countries per day in the Welcomeguide.
Use the "search a country" engine (on the right side of my homepage) to find a specific country and to read (or to leave) comments about this country.
Try to write in your posts some addresses you have already visited (hotels, restaurants, shops, etc...), and where courtesy is a culture.
This guide can also be very valuable for travellers who are looking for homestay opportunities everywhere in the world. So, don't hesitate to leave your email address after your comment...welcoming people will surely respond to your request !
Thank you very much to all of you, dear travellers.
Renaud
